Em's UTI

Took Em to the dr yesterday morning for a re-check on her UTI. Strangely, the resident I'd talked to a few wks ago said not to worry about doing one, but I made an appt anyway. Good thing...she finished her meds 1wk 3days ago and either has another UTI or the last one never went away. :( She hasn't had any symptoms either--extra sleepy, fever, fussy--nothing. Good news is she did great w/the cath. She cried when they put the iodine on her, but the cath didn't bother her at all. LOL So, her doctor upped the dosage of her daily meds and we are giving it to her 2x a day until we get the culture results back. Then we'll know if this med will work or if she'll need to be on another. This is basically our 3rd UTI in as many months. Not happy. And it's really hard, because babies rarely have symptoms...the 1st time she had none, even in hindsight. The 2nd time she had a fever and was really sleepy one day, but fine after that. We found out about the UTI 2 days later. After she was started on meds, she was a bit fussier that week...then we found out those meds weren't working. This time--nothing. I really hope we can get something figured out!
