Kaden's Hospital Pics

I finally figured out (with help from Josh) how to get the pics off of my cell and onto my computer. So, here is Kaden's day in surgery...in pictures. :) Pay no attention to the quality--after all, they are from my cell!

Playing in the Pre-Op Room
A Child Life Specialist came in to talk to Kade about his surgery. She brought
in 3 different scented masks--strawberry, bubblegum, and grape--for him
to choose from.
He really enjoyed giving them all the sniff test. :)
He had a hard time choosing, so he asked Josh and I to smell them all.
He ended up choosing bubblegum--apparently the top pic. :)
** Presenting Dr. Baxter**
He looked so darn cute!Kaden was taken to surgery in a wagon. He looked a little
worried, but was very brave!

Waiting in the waiting room seemed to take forever! They finally called us back to Kaden's recovery room. He looked sooo tiny being rolled down the hall on a stretcher. :( He slept for quite some time...

When he woke, he cuddled with me and watched TV.
After he woke up a little more he got dressed, read some books, and did some drawing.
The nurse brought him juice, crackers, and pudding...I think that's the real reason he wants to go back again! LOL
Kade was definitely ready to get home!
Riding in the Wheelchair
Kaden's teddy bear, Jesus, got to go into surgery with him. They gave him a mask,
hairnet, and ankle tag. He still looks like this today. :)A week later, we went back for his recheck. Because he was so brave, we stopped
at Burger King for lunch. Kaden was totally sacked out on the way home!

Aw! Poor little guy! I'm glad that he's feeling better and the stitches are gone!
On another note, any potty-training advise? Joe is going at a pretty good pace, but we had an accident yesterday in regular underpants. No "I have to go potty NOW!" warning. Luckily, just number one... ;)

Hey, Lori! My only potty training advice is that he'll do it when he's good and ready...learned that the hard way w/Kade!LOL One day he up and decided he was ready, had one poop accident that day, and was trained like that! Nighttime training followed almost immediately too. It was all him! :)

Cam doesn't show much interest yet, but this time around I couldn't care less. We'll start working on it this summer if he seems interested. If Joe is right now, that's awesome!!! Good luck!
